During his downtime, he appeared in a movie that went straight to DVD, followed by a few years of writing scripts. He began acting in high school, and even had some guest starring parts on CBS’s medical drama television series, “Chicago Hope.”Īfter high school, he attended New York University to study acting, but dropped out after his first year because he didn’t enjoy it. Between co-hosting “Ten Minute Podcast” (2012-2016) and his latest, “Congratulations with Chris D’Elia,” which has charted in the top 20 comedy podcasts in multiple countries, he has achieved commercial success.ĭ’Elia was raised in Montclair, New Jersey until age 12, when his family relocated to Los Angeles, California.
